Jos Cozijnsen MMA, consulting attorney emissions trading

From 1985 to 1993 Jos Cozijnsen worked as an attorney in the legal aid sector. From 1993-1997 he worked for the Netherlands' Environment Ministry on the development of climate change policy and as a member of the Dutch delegation to the international climate meetings including Kyoto.
Since 1998, he is based as an independent consulting attorney in the Netherlands and working for companies, authorities and NGO’s on several national and international projects related to emissions trading.
His core activities are:

Knowledge transfer and training: frequent comments, market analysis and columns in magazines. Training courses and workshops for companies on the carbon market from Amsterdam to Johannesburg to Thessaloniki;
Ÿ
Legal consultancy: managing all the legal areas related to emissions trading, assisting companies regarding CO2 allocation procedures;
Ÿ
Strategic consultancy: showing carbon market opportunities, assessing the carbon value of projects; advice on CDM/JI procedures; for example one year within Shell Global Solutions developing the CO2 business.


Gerd Schnitzler, International Project Manager, Germany

Gerd Schnitzler has over twenty years experience in information technology from the development of management software systems to the implementation of financial and business intelligence software applications. Gerd has worked across a range of industry sectors including the insurance, production, telecom and aviation sector.  
More recently he developed software applications for airlines to monitor and report tonne kilometres and emissions data and to manage the financial aspects of emission allowance trading in the EU ETS.  
Gerd holds a university diploma in pedagogy from the University of Cologne and qualified as a communications analyst at the Siemens School for Data and Information Technology in Bonn.


Capt. Claudio Daniel Caceres

Capt. Claudio Caceres is an Aviation Consultant since 2007. He is representing IBAA and Sirio Spa, Milan, Italy on the EBAA’s FTL Position working group.

Since almost one year of membership at the EBAA’s FTL working group, he contributed to assess the sustainability of the EBAA’s FTL position. Having completed the American NTSB training, in Washington, about the Fatigue Risk Management System (FRMS), he provided valuable information based on the current scientific evidences to the working group.

Previously, he served two years as a Flight Operations and Training PH for an Italian Business Aviation AOC operator. After that he has supported Sirio Spa, Milan, Italy with the implementation of the new EU rules and the Quality Management System.
Claudio has over 20 years aviation experience - the majority as an Airline Captain on narrow and wide body aircrafts.  His career includes 10 years as Quality Auditor, Security Manager and instructor. He also is a part-time aviation security advisor for the Italian CAA ENAC.  During his time with ENAC, he was extensively involved in the EU regulatory development process especially in the field of Human Factors, applied to security.
He has also worked with the European Civil Aviation Conference as a Certified aviation security auditor.
Capt. Caceres holds two Master Degrees, one in Air Transport Management and one in Air Safety Management, from the City University of London. He is also an Air Safety Investigator and member of the International Society of Air Safety Investigators, as well as the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics.

Erik van Agtmaal  Sustainable transport consultant and project manager

Erik van Agtmaal is managing partner of Altimedes Consulting and created the Green Logistics Consultants Group. The Green Logistics Consultants Group is a global international collaborative network of supply chain consultants and researchers with a general or specific expertise in areas where companies, authorities and governments can improve the environmental performance of their supply chains and transport infrastructure.  Altimedes Consulting is based near Brussels. Clients in the field of sustainable logistics include leading companies and organisation such as IATA, ADEME, OECD, and public authorities in several European countries.
He is an expert in methodologies for the calculation of greenhouse gas and other emissions from logistics sources and product flows and currently leading a project to develop a standard methodology for the Dutch transport industry and shippers organisations.   

Erik is leading several international projects such as the European Climate TransAct project. He is a lecturer for collaborative networks and sustainable transport and a member of several advisory groups. He is a member of a working group of the WRI/WBCSD Greenhouse Gas Protocol for Product and Supply Chain Accounting and Reporting Standards.
